TÜV SÜD PSB will also debut a new certification mark, the “TexCheck” Mark - which covers regulatory hazardous substances, testing and safety assessments of textiles. The certification process for the mark also includes on-site factory inspections to various aspects of social compliance in the country of production. Softlines products, such as clothing, curtains, table wear, textiles for interior design and decoration are subjected to a host of chemical safety regulations in many global economic regions. Under the “TexCheck” certification scheme, TÜV SÜD PSB’s experts conduct tests according to the European Chemicals Regulation REACH for the European Union, and the Consumer Product Safety Improvement Act (CPSIA) for USA and retailers’ Restricted Substances List (RSL).
